A top quality ripe pu erh tea brick made Yunnan Da Ye Zhong leaves (large leaf varietal). It's dark shou pu erh with a smooth and rich flavour as a result of the special wet-piling post-fermentation process

The flavour is super smooth, yet exceptionally affordable for 200 grams (7 oz) of tea. Enjoy it right now as a daily drinker, or store it away for a few years to let it turn into 'gold'.

Jin Ban Zhang: The Name Explained

The Chinese name for this tea, as displayed on the packaging, is 'Jin Ban Zhang'. The first character 'jin / 金‘ means 'gold'. This name is given, because the block also consists of some golden buds. The latter two characters refer to its origin ‘ban zhang’
