Daughter's Rings: Jade Ring Jasmine Green Tea - Nuer Huan 500g

A farmer needs to work seven days, just to produce about 1.5 kg of this artisan tea, picking only the most-tender leaves from large-leaf tea trees in Simao, Yunnan. Afterwards, each ring is carefully hand-rolled piece by piece, and naturally scented with real jasmine flowers.

Daughter's ring tea is another of China's wonderful artisan teas; it is hand made using elaborate processes that involve great care and skill to produce this especially beautiful and delicate tasting green tea. The making of these jasmine jade rings begins in the early spring when the young and tender leaves of Yunnan green tea are picked only when they consist of one bud one leaf.

When making jasmine jade ring tea it's a good idea to use porcelain teapot and cups to fully appreciate the appearance, flavor and color of this tea.

From a friend
I got this tea through a travelling tea box. It's beautifully crafted, the leaves are rolled in little golden rings. The look lovely, and it's cool to watch them brew as well. My experience: the taste is vegetal with fruity notes. I find the flavor mellow and invigorating. A lovely cup of tea. Figuring out now what to order next.

I also saw this tea on other sites called 'Golden Tea Rings'. I haven't tried this tea from other companies, but the price from Teasenz seems to be the most competitive. 5 stars for that.

Best birthday gift ever
Got this tea as a birthday gift from a friend. For a tea geek like me, it's obvious to receive tea and tea wares, but this tea was a big surprise! The rings look pretty and steeps a fresh vegetal cup. After steeping, the leaves looks larger then I expected, but this isn't strange given that it's from Yunnan.

Based on my steeping experience, I suggest to steep these Daughter Rings the first round at a higher temperature so that the rings unfurl better. For the next rounds it can be steeped at lower temperatures.

Super cute
These little rings are super cute! I steeped it at 170 F, but could get much flavor out of it. Later on I found the instructions by steeping at 185 F. Much better. Review by Belinda (Posted on 6/25/2015)
