Tea Picking Season: A Race Against The Clock

While plucking tea leaves might sounds like easy labor, it's in fact a race against the clock. Longjing tea farmers in the West Lake region knows this better than anyone else.

In the past it was easy to find flexible workers to pick tea during the golden month April. Today, more and more people are moving to larger cities seeking less seasonal, more stable jobs.

A tea saying:

Picking the same leaves 3 days early is like finding a treasure, pick them 3 days late and it will turn into grass.
